Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with Baked by Bri LLC (“the Bakery,” “we,” “us”). By placing an order, the client (“you”) agrees to the following terms.

Orders & Booking

  • All custom cake and dessert orders must be placed in advance and are subject to availability.

  • Orders are not confirmed until a refundable retainer is received and written confirmation is provided by the Bakery via email.

  • Design sketches, mockups, or drafts are not provided, as the cake artist retains full creative discretion and design rights.Inspiration images serve as a creative reference only; exact replicas cannot be guaranteed.The final design is executed on the event date and reflects the artist’s professional interpretation of the agreed-upon inspiration and details.

  • Tastings are not offered. Due to the bespoke nature of our work and limited production capacity, tastings are not available. Flavor selections are made based on detailed descriptions, curated combinations, and the Bakery’s established portfolio. By placing an order, the client trusts the cake artist’s expertise and flavor craftsmanship.

Pricing and Payments

  • Pricing is based on size, servings, design complexity, flavors, and materials used.

  • A refundable retainer specified in the allocated “Luxury, Signature Special Occasion, or Cupcake & Dessert form is required to secure your event date.

  • The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days prior to the event date unless otherwise stated.

  • Failure to submit final payment by the due date written in the follow up email or invoice  may result in order cancellation with no refund of the deposit.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made prior to 2 weeks of the due date are eligible for a full refund including the deposit.

  • Cancellations submitted under 2 weeks of the due date are eligible for 50% refund including the deposit.

  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

Design Changes

  • Design changes must be requested no later than 14 days before the event.

  • Significant design changes may incur additional fees.

  • Changes requested after the cutoff date are not guaranteed and may be declined.

Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

  • The Bakery operates in a kitchen that may contain milk, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, and other allergens.

  • While we accommodate dietary requests, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free facility.

  • The client assumes full responsibility for notifying guests of potential allergens.

Pickup, Delivery, and Setup

  • Pickup and delivery times are scheduled in advance and must be adhered to.

  • The Bakery is not responsible for damage once the order leaves our possession.

  • For delivered orders, responsibility transfers to the client upon successful delivery and setup.

  • Delivery fees are non-refundable.

Cake Care and Handling

  • Cakes should be stored in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight and heat.

  • Refrigeration instructions will be provided when necessary.

  • The Bakery is not responsible for damage caused by improper storage, handling, or environmental conditions after delivery or pickup.

Servings and Cutting

  • Serving estimates are based on industry-standard portion sizes.

  • The Bakery is not responsible for shortages due to oversized portions or improper cutting.

Non-edible Decorations

  • Some cakes may include non-edible elements (e.g. jumbo straws, dowels, supports, floral wires, decorative accents).

  • It is the client’s responsibility to ensure these items are removed before serving.

Photography and Marketing

  • The Bakery reserves the right to photograph completed orders and use images for marketing, social media, and portfolio purposes.

  • Client names and event details will remain confidential unless permission is granted.

Force Majeure

  • The Bakery is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, power outages, illness, or acts of God.

  • In such cases, liability is limited to a refund of payments made, excluding the retainer, at the Bakery’s discretion.

Limitation of Liability

  • Liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the order.

  • The Bakery is not responsible for consequential or incidental damages.

Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
